Refreshing relationships within the community

April 23rd - April 27th, 2018

To be REFRESHED is to have the power to restore freshness, vitality, and/or energy into a person, place, or thing! In this year of REFRESHING, to be effective in our COMMUNITY (COMMON UNITY) with others, we have the responsibility to introduce Christ to even the L.E.A.S.T. of them!

Who are the L.E.A.S.T. of them? Those who feel LEFT out, EXPERIENCE loneliness, feel ALL has been lost, and have SIMPLY have given up. We have to introduce them to & encourage them to TRUST Jesus!

Matthew 25:38-40 NKJV

38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

The L.E.A.S.T. of them; those who feel LEFT out! Hebrews 2:8-9 NLT

8 You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says “all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority.

9 What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.

The L.E.A.S.T. of them; Those who EXPERIENCE loneliness!

Psalms 25:16-17, 20-21 NLT

16 Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress. 17 My problems go from bad to worse. 20 Oh, save me from them all! Protect me! Rescue my life from them! Do not let me be disgraced, for in you I take refuge.

21 May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you.

The L.E.A.S.T. of them; Those who feel ALL is lost!

Psalms 40:12-13, 16-17 NLT

12 For troubles surround me— too many to count! My sins pile up so high I can’t see my way out. They outnumber the hairs on my head. I have lost all courage.

13 Please, Lord , rescue me! Come quickly, Lord , and help me. 16 But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “The Lord is great!” 17 As for me, since I am poor and needy, let the Lord keep me in his thoughts. You are my helper and my savior. O my God, do not delay.

The L.E.A.S.T. of them; Those who have SIMPLY given up!

Isaiah 40:29-31 NLT

29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. 30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

The L.E.A.S.T. of them; Introduce them to & encourage them to TRUST Jesus!

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 NLT

1 When I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters, I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan. 2 For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. 5 I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.
