MAY PRAYER FOCUS
Refreshing Relationships within the CHURCH
This month we will explore and pray for ways we can refresh relationships within the Church. How? By taking care of the BODY (our Faculties), taking care of the BUILDING (Facilities), taking care of the BUSINESS (Finances), and taking care of the BELIEVER (Faithful).
God reveals to us, through His Word, that He values our bodies and so should we. Our bodies are referenced in scripture as being the temple of the Holy Spirit, where He resides! It is our responsibility to take care of and honor God's temple. God's words encourage us to use our bodies to achieve the will of God.
THIS WEEK, LET'S EXPLORE WE WAYS TO TAKE CARE OF THE BODY
Keep The Temple Holy
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Keep The Mind Pure
Romans 12:1-2 KJV
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Keep The Body Healthy
1 TIMOTHY 4:8 AMP
8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness (spiritual training) is of value in everything and in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and for the life to come.
Keep The Eyes Clear
MATTHEW 6:22 AMP
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body; so if your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive], your whole body will be full of light [benefiting from God’s precepts].
Keep The Walk Straight
1 Corinthians 10:31-33 GW
31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything to the glory of God. 32 Don’t cause others to stumble, whether they are Jewish, Greek, or members of God’s church. 33 I try to please everyone in every way. I don’t think about what would be good for me but about what would be good for many people so that they might be saved.
